Bologna Hosts Scientology Volunteer Ministers Exhibition

Volunteer Ministers Open Their Yellow Tent in Bologna Bologna's Piazza Lucio Dalla is hosting the travelling yellow tent of the Volunteer Ministers of Scientology, where the exhibition will remain through 8 September. Around 100 people attended the opening, including local officials and community representatives. Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who spoke about the relationship established with the volunteers after severe flooding in 2024. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also spoke emotionally about the assistance received when his restaurant was affected by mud and water. Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, spoke about volunteer support given to communities affected by the 2012 earthquake. The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme combines community assistance with disaster-response activities. Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can explore photographic exhibits and information about the programme while learning about communication, relationships, study, work and family life. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as a reflection of the role citizens can news europe war play in strengthening their communities.
